Evalution Overview
Evalution Overview
Our subjects ranged in age, occupation, and museum-going frequency, providing a wide perspective on the app's usability. For instance, Audrey, a 29-year-old artist with a deep interest in art history, and Shari, a 60-year-old retired individual who seldom visits museums and is not fluent in English, offered contrasting views on the app's accessibility and utility. Additionally, younger users like Akanksha, a 24-year-old data analyst, and tech-savvy individuals like Eric, a 26-year-old web developer, provided insights into the app's navigational ease and the desire for a more accessible museum experience.

Task Scenarios & Measurements
Task Scenarios & Measurements
We designed task scenarios to mirror potential user journeys, from planning a visit to navigating the museum in real-time. Subjects were asked to use the app for various purposes, such as planning a trip, finding VIP ticket information, and navigating the museum. Measurements focused on learnability and satisfaction, crucial for ensuring the app's broad accessibility and enjoyable user experience.

Evaluation Results
Evaluation Results
The evaluation uncovered key insights. All users utilized the directions tab, yet some struggled to discover additional features. VIP information was easily accessible for most, but one user suggested a dedicated section for accessibility. The "My Ticket" function was universally used for museum entry, yet no subjects tapped on the "Show Barcode" link, highlighting a design oversight.

Design Changes & Reflections
Design Changes & Reflections
Based on these findings, we recommended several design changes. The ticketing process could be streamlined by integrating the barcode display within the "My Ticket" page. Simplifying the home, about, and museum pages into a single, more informative section could enhance user navigation. Also, enhancing button visibility and adding frequently used filters directly on the museum map page could improve overall usability.
Reflecting on the process from contextual inquiry to prototyping and evaluation, we identified strengths in our methodical approach and areas for improvement in time management and task distribution. Future projects will benefit from earlier planning phases and more balanced workloads among team members.
